Welcome to the TeesNeuro educational website. We hope you find it interesting, informative and, above all, useful.
TeesNeuro is a bit of a labour of love by a bunch of NHS Neurologists based in Teesside, UK. We all work at The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough and love our jobs (usually) and teaching (always).
This site is for anyone with an interest in the ways in which neurological conditions affect people. Here, you will find information on neurological disorders, complemented by videos and diagrams wherever possible, so that the topics come to life. There are also links to helpful websites, and reading lists for those that want to look further.
If you are seeking expert, world-leading opinion in the field of neuroscience, then this site is not for you.
If, on the other hand, you are as curious as us about how the brain works, and why it sometimes doesn’t, then read on.

Hi Aneesha. Thanks for the message. I run the crash course for the Newcastle students in the run up to finals but it’s not really a weekend – although that isn’t a bad idea. If I ever get around to running a separate one, then I will happily make it open access. Best of luck. Archie
